Chronology of cameras Canon
The AF35 M was the best-selling autofocus compact camera in France during its career. In evolving it, Canon thus had to improve upon it to maintain its leadership position, without overshadowing its high-end compact, the AF35 ML.
The first area of improvement was the reduction in size and weight, accompanied by a modernized design. Next, battery life was enhanced. At the end of the film roll, power is cut off, whereas in the first model, a diode indicated the end of the film but left the motor running.
The lens was also upgraded, now protected by a double eyelid, similar to the Snappy.
The AF35 MII Quartz Date is the version with a date back. It's possible to imprint the date and time of the shot at the bottom right of each image.
