Chronology of cameras Canon
This model is built around its zoom, with a focal length (35mm equivalent) ranging from 37 to 370mm. Thanks to digital zoom, it can extend up to 1480mm. Fortunately, the zoom is stabilized. It's important to remain moderate and avoid using digital zoom to maintain good quality results. The viewfinder is digital. We are familiar with the major flaws of early viewfinders using a small screen, and it's easy to understand that it's hardly usable at maximum focal length.
It seems that Canon engineers have looked back to Minolta, drawing (somewhat) inspiration from the Minolta Electro-Zoom X.
