Chronology of cameras Grands Magasins du Louvre
The Grands Magasins du Louvre were active from 1855, initially known as the Galeries du Louvre, until 1974. Since then, a portion of the building, located on Place du Palais-Royal, has been occupied by the Louvre des Antiquaires.
These were Parisian department stores, divided into various specialized departments, offering customers everything they were looking for. Similar to the Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville or the Bon Marché, the Grands Magasins du Louvre sold a complete range of photographic equipment under their own brand.
It's worth noting that the individuals responsible for naming the cameras (not yet referred to as a marketing department) did not demonstrate a great deal of imagination, as all the cameras were named Louvre, followed or preceded by a word or two describing the type of camera.
Ce détective porte le logo de la Société des Lunetiers, ce qui aide à déterminer que sa marque "réelle" est Murer et Duroni. Sur une page d'un catalogue des Grands Magasins du Louvre on le retrouve sous son vrai nom d' Express Murer. Il est constitué de bois recouvert de maroquin.
