Chronology of cameras Contessa-Nettel
This camera is the "De Luxe" version of the Cocarette series produced by Contessa-Nettel from 1919 to 1926, and adopted by Zeiss Ikon from 1926 to 1929.
Very elegant, the coating is dark brown leather and tan color leather bellows. The metal edges are nickel plated. The body is made of aluminum.
The brand name is engraved on the stand and on the slider. The model name is found on the round window on the back and on the handle.
This model is available in different sizes: 6 x 9 or 6.5 x 11 or 8 x 10 or 8 x 15 cm.
Different lenses were available: Sonnar, Tessar, Dominar, Periscop, Frontar and different shutters: Compur, Derval, Klio.
On this camera, the Compur shutter bears the No. 258646 and the Tessar is numbered 728401.
