Chronology of cameras Alpa
This unusual camera allows for the creation of a 360° panoramic photo by rotating around its vertical axis. Simultaneously with the rotation of the camera, the film moves behind a slit. The final photo measures 475 mm.
The film can be either 120 film or a 70 mm film (also used in cinema) in a specific cassette.
Vertical framing (as horizontal framing is indeed challenging for a 360° shot) is achieved using a reflex viewfinder, whose mirror retracts during the capture.
