Minolta 110 Zoom Reflex Mark II

Traduction de Martin Siegel, Austria

With this camera Minolta succeeded in transforming a 110 format camera into a real Mini SLR. The look of this camera is  much more convenient than the one of their first 110 reflex camera which it replaced in early 1979.

Although small, the camera is equipped with features which are rare to find even on 24x36 SLR cameras like an eyepiece corrector (-1,1 to +0,8 diopter) or a built in eyepiece shutter. The removable action grip makes handling easier.

The fixed lens is a Minolta Zoom Rokkor Macro 25-67mm (equals 50-135mm on 24x36mm). This zoom (12 elements in 10 groups) is regarded as the best lens for that format and has a macro setting. Filter thread diameter is 40,5 mm.

The design of the Mark II makes reminds us immediately on Bridge cameras which were introduced years later.
