Chronology of cameras Schmidt

The explanation for the existence of Tickyphot and other Schmidt cameras varies from one author to another.

McKeown justifies it by stating that Regula acquired the company Schmidt in 1972, which specialized in manufacturing flashes called Tickytron.
Kadlubeck associates these cameras with Wilhelm Schmidt KG in Calw, a manufacturer of Tickytron flashes.

In the case of McKeown's hypothesis, one might wonder why Regula, after absorbing Schmidt, would sell the same cameras under two different names, considering the manufacturing constraints involved. The catalogs we have encountered that offer Tickyphot and Schmidt cameras never present them as Regula cameras and simultaneously display equivalent models on the pages dedicated to Regula cameras.
Manufacturing for the needs of an accessory manufacturer seeking to expand its product range seems like a more plausible explanation.

To further complicate matters, I found an advertisement in a Phot'argus magazine from April 1973 for Chotard, a French distributor, which featured Tickyphot cameras and Tickytron flashes alongside various other brands, including Balda, but with no reference to Regula.

On the cameras themselves, any reference to Regula is removed, and the King logo is replaced by a specific Schmidt logo.
