Petri Zoom 110 2S

Presented at the Photokina in 1978 at the same time as the Petri EF 110, this device has a zoom (very good!) but does not have an integral flash (not good). This might explain its lack of success. The zoom covers the focal lengths from 25 mm to 42 mm a ratio of 1.7X between the extremes*. It is a zoom and not a bifocal, and for that reason the optical formula is complex; seven lenses in 6 groups. The lenses are multi coated.

It has only two shutter speeds determined by the sensitivity of the film: 1/125 for 100 ASA and 1/250 for 400 ASA .

The aperture is variable. The maximum aperture is 5,6, and by reference to the distance scale for flash we can calculate that the smallest aperture is 16. The middle one may be 11 or possibly 9,5.

The collimated viewfinder is coupled to the zoom. It was not a cheap device, on the contrary look at its price in 1979, in La Redoute catalog.

* 42 mm - 72 mm in full frame 35 mm equivalents.
