Kodak Modele B11

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.

The series of the models B (11 and 31) introduced some modifications compared to the 620 precedents. The cap passes on the right. The system of spacer is re-examined. The handle is made of plastic. The buttons become chrome.

B11 is the basic model of this new series, posterior with that of models 36 and 37. It is equipped with a simple meniscus (F/10 to F/32) and of a shutter B/I. Indications of distance are very approximate (infinite, 6 m and 1,50 m).

It makes it possible to make photographs with the format 6 X 9 (8 photographs) or 6 X 6 (12 photographs) cm on film 620, thanks to a removable internal mask. In front of the finder, a sliding mask (very fragile) makes it possible to adapt the viewfinding to the format used. Certain variants (see photo) do not have this sliding mask. In this case, in the center of the finder is a red square corresponding to framing 6 X 6. This square makes the viewfinding particularly uncomfortable.

In May 1958, this camera cost 7467 francs .

The series of B will mark the end of Kodak 620 French.
