Chronology of cameras Agfa
The silhouette of the Agfamatic 110, like that of the Kodak Instamatic, marked the 1970s. It is that of a rectangular body, often two-tone (black and silver), with the side sliding part serving both as a protective cover for the lens and as a film advance lever, following the principle of Minox cameras. The film advance system is called Repitomatic by Agfa. The silhouette is completed by a fashionable metal strap of the time.
On these cameras, the shutter release button is characteristic, as it is the Sensor.
In the Agfamatic numbering system, the thousands series (1000, 2000, 3000, etc.) refers to cameras with connectors for Flashcubes. The 8 series (1008, 2008, 3008, etc.) refers to the same cameras, but with a connector for Flipflash.
The thousands series can be Flash pocket if the cameras have a built-in electronic flash.
The 8 series can also be Tele pocket when the camera's focal length is doubled or Makro pocket when the lens is also macro. The Tele function is achieved by adding an additional lens to the lens. The viewfinder is also modified accordingly.
The shape of the 901 series cameras is different from that of the other Agfamatics since the film advance is driven by a motor and there is no longer a sliding part. The plastic housing is entirely black, except for the orange Sensor trigger.
In 1982, Agfa revived its range by distinguishing a Sport model in Ferrari red and an adventurer Tramp model in khaki with US Army stencil markings.

__________The Agfamatic 1000 is considered the poor relative compared to other Agfamatic models. Overall, the camera looks more like it's made of sheet metal than most other Agfamatics. There is no brushed aluminum, but instead black-painted iron. In fact, the 1000s that I see at flea markets often look in worse condition than other Agfamatics. It is indeed a basic model in the series (still with a Sensor). The winding is done by a button to be slid under the camera, not by opening/closing the body. The viewfinder is very simple, consisting of two pieces of plastic. The sliding part of the body is held by the latch of the door through which the film is loaded. Therefore, to change the film, the sliding part must be completely removed. There are NO adjustments on this camera. The shutter speed is 1/100 second, which automatically switches to 1/50 second with the flash.
The lens is a fixed-focus Color Agnar 9.5/26mm.
On May 11, 1976, Agfa-Gevaert AG filed a patent (No. DE2620764) for a system that allows, by the sliding movement of a part of the camera, to advance the film by one frame, uncover the lens, cock the shutter, and rotate the flash cube if present. The sliding part is kept open by a spring for capturing the image.
At the end of the shooting session, it is retracted, and a latch prevents it from reopening inadvertently.
The inventor of this system is Alfred Winkler from Munich, who is credited with numerous patents filed by Agfa, not only in the field of photography but also in other domains.
This system will be named Repitomatic, and like the Sensor, it will become the signature of the brand.
