The Dollina and the Super Dollina are 35mm folding cameras, with the front face moving parallel to the main axis of the camera, and the struts mechanism having an X shape.
Their production began in Germany before the war, then continued in the DDR (East Germany) during the 1950s.

The Super Dollina II is the successor to the Super Dollina. It is manufactured after the war, while Germany is torn between two countries, two political regimes. Certo finds itself in the East, in DDR, where everything is planned, centralized. Factories are consolidated into VEB (People's Enterprises), gradually overshadowing the brands, but Certo manages to escape collectivism for quite some time. However, this policy is evident even in the name of the shutter, which is called VEBUR.
The top part of the Super Dollina has been redesigned, and the two film advance and rewind buttons have been slimmed down. The hood line is more understated, more modern. More significantly, there is now only one viewfinder window at the rear.
This specimen has a feature that places it between the Super Dollina and the Super Dollina II. The viewfinder and rangefinder eyepieces are separate, while the top cover and knobs are those of a Super Dollina II.
The shutter is a west german one.
