Agfa Optima Rapid 125 C

Traduction de Sylvain Halgand

The general information concerning the principle “ Rapid” is explained to the card of Isomat-Rapid. The format is 24x24.

This camera leaves the choice between a control of exposure and entirely automatic speed and the possibility of choosing the aperture. Its lens is Apotar 2,8/35. The maximum speed of obturation is the 1/125 secondes (Paratic Shutter). C indicates the use of the cubic flash. It seems that the conversion of the camera to the use of the cube was made with goes-quickly, we detect very well the slides of fixing of a traditional flash.
The distance can be regulated by symbol or a scale meters/feet, adjustable of infinite to 90 cm.
The finder is collimated with a red/green signal.
The winding is fast thanks to the lever which is below the camera.

The completion is beautiful. Behind of the camera, there is a table of the apertures of diaphragm.

There is also a version with a shutter going to the 1/250 (Agfa Optima Rapid 250 V) and another to the 1/500 (Agfa Optima Rapid 500 V).
This camera seemed innovation in 1967.
In 1970, according to the Natkin catalog, it was worth 370 francs .
