Chronology of cameras Agfa
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand
Agfa used the principle of Rapid(of which he is the inventor) on a significant number of cameras, whose name contains the word “ Rapid”.
On Isomat-Rapid, it is possible to regulate the distance from Focusing either according to a scale meters/feet, or according to three pictograms representing a landscape, a group of three people or the faces of two people. For the setting of the aperture, the scale mentions 4,5 8 11 and 16, a Flash position and a position A. In this last position it is the built-in cell which manages the exposure. A red signal/green present in the finder indicates if the exposure is correct or not. Although the film is one 35 mm, the photograph obtained fact 24 X 24 mm (16 sights). The sensitivity of film is regulated automatically by the Rapidcharger.
Isomat Rapid differs from Isomat Rapid C by the fact that it accepts a flash with bulb, whereas C makes it possible to use only cubes (from where C). Isomat Rapid dates from second half of the Sixties.
This camera was worth 192 francsin 1970 in the Natkin catalog.
