Chronology of cameras Kodak
Traduction de Sylvain Halgand.
The “Anniversary” was free distributed , in 1930, to 12 years old children . They obviously all were distributed in a few days, in spite of a production of 550.000 parts. In spite of this number, it is difficult to find one in good condition of them. That is due to the fact that it is made of paperboard and that it was put in childish hands step always careful. The visible seal on one side commemorates the 50 years of Kodak. Very often, it was torn off by the children, or was used through exit of the satchel. In short, to find a camera whole without usual wears of the paperboard holds of the challenge.
In the manual, there are some words signed of G. Eastman :"“To the boy or the girl who receives this anniversary camera : I hope you enjoy this camera as much as we enjoy giving it to you. Best wishes and good luck.”
This camera is in the beginning Hawk-Eye. Gildings of the metal parts and the color of the coating are however specific to this only model.
