Chronology of cameras Canon
The EOS system (Electro-Optical System) represents a complete departure from previous Canon cameras, as everything changes, especially due to the lack of compatibility with FD lenses.
EOS cameras feature sophisticated electronics and excellent autofocus, made possible by the new range of EF lenses with integrated motors (USM). The coupling between the camera body and the lens is now purely electrical. Gone is the small cam that protruded from the rear of FD lenses.
The overall design is new, although it retains some small reminiscences of the T90, designed by Colani.

The name EOS has been retained to designate the digital SLR cameras of the brand.__________
The EOS 33 and EOS 30 were launched simultaneously. These are two cameras distinguished only by the existence of autofocus control. Ultimately, the EOS 33 was 500 francs cheaper than the EOS 30.
Classified in the "Expert" category, the series continues the legacy of the famous EOS 50(E), inheriting the reinforced chassis, metal mount, 1/125 flash sync, and rear dial for aperture adjustment. The bodies are slightly lighter, with faster and more precise autofocus featuring 7 AF points (instead of three on the 50), while retaining the capabilities of the E-TTL flash system: control of EX flashes by the camera's sensor, high-speed flash sync.
The EOS 30 and 33 inherit the calculator from the EOS 3, ensuring rapid autofocus adjustment.
It's worth noting the interesting possibility of diopter correction via a dial on the body, which avoids the use of additional optional correctors, fully compatible with eye control.
A power booster is available (4 AA batteries replacing the two CR 123A).
Rewinding can be done in 5 seconds or in 13 seconds in silent mode.
