Chronology of cameras Houghton

No information on this model could not be found. However, its resemblance to the Ensign Super Mayfair except the maximum aperture of 7.7 instead of 6.3 to suppose that it also dates from the 1930s.
The distances are adjusted by shimming the bellows (not self-deploying) in a graduated toothed spring plate disposed on the bed.
The film spool supports (British Patent 281802 from Ensign) are special and are very convenient to engage and disengage the roll (it exits easely). They are automatically locked by the closure of the back of the camera. It is also found on other Ensign camera models of the same time.
The model name is in an obvious Art Deco style and the "solar" style of the lens plate is a common sign of the brand (Ensign Selfix 20 and Mayfair for example).
