The classification of Instamatic does not correspond to the chronology of their launch, because Instamatic 25 launched after Instamatic 50. To be more exact, it replaces it, because except the aspect, it is about the same camera, always manufactured in the United Kingdom. The advance of film is done from now on thanks to a plastic lever, of which a large round part appears on the higher cap of the camera. The manufacture of the 50 stops in January 1966, and at once starts that of the 25, which will stop in 1971.
The lens opens to 11. The two-speed shutter: 1/40 and 1/90 secondes. The focusing is fixed.
